Cross Country Teams Have Early Success

Both the men and women's cross country teams have competed twice thus far in the early season. On August 30th, they competed at the LeMoyne Invite. The women placed second just a few points behind NCAA division 1 LeMoyne College, while the men finished 3rd.

On Saturday September 6th, the Mighy Oaks traveled  north to SUNY Oswego for their invitational. The women came away victorious while the men were second.

Coach Melfi's Comments: These early season meets are good opportunities to develop that muscle memory again for cross country racing. They are small meets and perfect for early September. The real racing will start essentially at the end of September. We have a lot of work to do from now until then, but both teams (men and women) are ready and focused!

Next up, both teams travel to the campus of Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York for the Harry Anderson Invitational on September 27th! This meet will feature numerous teams from all over New York State and beyond.
